KCR has driven surplus state into debt: Bandi

KARIMNAGAR: Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of driving a surplus Telangana state into debts.

“The situation is such that the CM is selling government lands and has called liquor tenders two months ahead for mobilising more than ₹2,400 crore,” he remarked.

Speaking to the media in Karimnagar, Sanjay Kumar said KCR never bothered about fulfilling the poll promises he had made during the previous elections. “Now, in view of the coming assembly elections, he is trying to make people believe that he will fulfil all the promises,” he underlined.

The MP alleged that soon KCR will start releasing salaries of government employees on the first of every month. He will also distribute double bedroom houses to a few people. “He will then go on to create confidence among people about distributing the remaining houses after the elections, only to deceive them after the elections,” he observed.

Sanjay advised people of Telangana not to become victims of gimmicks that KCR is playing. He asked them to think wisely before electing their candidates.

He maintained that Congress candidates will not even get their deposits in the assembly elections. The by-polls are an example for it. “When people gave power to Congress in the past, it indulged in total corruption. Whereas CM KCR has not only indulged in corruption, but also turned surplus Telangana into a debt-ridden state,” he maintained.

The MP said BJP will allot tickets to such leaders who will work for people and the ideology of BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi. Replying to a question, he said their national party leadership will decide whether he (Sanjay) contests as an MP or MLA.
