Bengaluru: Refuting former chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy's allegation that he was involved in the 'transfer business' pertaining to government officials, B.Y. Vijayendra, son of Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, hit back saying Mr Kumaraswamy was no ‘Sri Ramachandra’ and people know how his family members were involved in the transfer of officials during the tenure of the Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition government.
Talking to reporters here on Monday, Mr Vijayendra asked the former chief minister not to make baseless allegations without concrete evidence.
He claimed that as many as 700 engineers of the Public Works Department(PWD) were transferred even after the coalition government lost its majority following the resignation of 17 Congress and JD(S) lawmakers recently.
He sought to know on what basis hundreds of officers were shuffled like 'a pack of cards' without reason. The former CM must prove his charges with documents as proof failing which people would not believe him. “I am involved in strengthening the party in the state and have not meddled in the administration,” he added.
