KTR slams Congress for creating obstacles in TRS govt's efforts to develop the state

Hyderabad: Municipal administration minister K.T. Rama Rao on Friday slammed the Congress for trying to create obstacles in the TRS government’s efforts to develop the state and provide irrigation to farmers.

“People don’t believe in the Congress anymore. It’s a useless party. The Congress ruled the country and the state for decades. They fear being wiped out completely if something good is done for people,” the minister remarked in New Delhi while reacting to the Congress’ PowerPoint presentation on irrigation projects.

Stating that experts had also slammed the Congress’ claims, he said if the party had provided water for one crore acre, why had farmers been committing suicide for ages? “Congr-ess is responsible for all the ills plaguing the country. No one is taking it seriously,” he said. Congress spokesman Mallu Ravi, however, defended the party and said the government was not completing pending irrigation projects.
