Naidu Alleges Jagan Trying to Win Elections with Fake Votes

VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheming to win elections with the help of bogus votes. The former chief minister urged the public to be vigilant against removal of their votes, during the voter verification programme.

In the presence of Naidu, a set of leaders and activists of the YSRC joined the TD at an event attended also by the Ungutur constituency in-charge Ganni Veeranjaneyulu, TD state president K. Atchannaidu, N. Chinarajappa, Pitani Satyanarayana and former MP Maganti Babu.

Naidu deplored that Jagan Mohan Reddy's rule has become something like Bhasmasura's (demon) hand aiming at the state’s public. “The state has already suffered a lot. Everyone has a responsibility to protect the state, and that's why I have announced the manifesto called Super Six for the benefit of the AP public,” Naidu said.

He alleged, “Now this political thief (Jagan) is looking to win the polls with fake votes. He is removing the votes of the Opposition due to a fear of defeat. Every vote should be protected. People should participate in the voter verification programme starting tomorrow (July 21) and should protect their votes from removal and deletion.”

Naidu alleged that the YSRC government destroyed the Polavaram project, which was scheduled to be completed by 2020. “The Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government acted irresponsibly and sank the ambitious project in Godavari river.”
