Kishan to Take Charge as TS BJP Chief Tomorrow

HYDERABAD: The Telangana state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called for a crucial meeting of its core committee on Friday, coinciding with the formal appointment of G. Kishan Reddy as the party's state unit president. The event will be attended by senior BJP leaders, including Sunil Bansal, the party's national general secretary and state election co-incharge, along with Prakash Javadekar, the state election in-charge and former Union minister.

G. Kishan Reddy took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce that he will assume office as the BJP Telangana president at 10.30 am on Friday. The ceremony will take place at the state party headquarters in Nampally, Hyderabad.

Party sources reveal that both Javadekar and Bansal are expected to stay in the city for a few days, engaging in meetings with various party leaders. Their aim is to develop a strategic plan in preparation for the upcoming state Legislative Assembly elections, which are scheduled to take place later this year. Over the past few weeks, the BJP's activities have been relatively quiet following Kishan Reddy's appointment as the state unit president. Party leaders are hopeful that the momentum will pick up following Friday's meeting, rejuvenating the party's efforts in the state.
