K T Rama Rao puts onus of civic polls result on MLAs
Hyderabad: TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao said on Friday that MLAs will be made responsible for ensuring the victory of party candidates in municipal elections.
He said the government has no information about any change in the Governor of the state.
During an informal chat with media persons after Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy adjourned the Assembly sine die, Mr Rama Rao said that the state government will bring in a new and stringent Revenue Act soon.
He felt that the new Municipal Act, 2019, will make the administration in urban local bodies (ULBs) transparent and corruption- free.
Referring to the ensuing municipal elections, he said that the party will give responsibilities to MLAs to see that the party wins in a majority of ULBs.
Mr Rama Rao said that the Congress party will not have any impact on the Assembly municipal polls and is currently in a state of crisis and doesn’t even have a national president.
