YSRC chief and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy participated in the all-party meeting held under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Supporting the idea, Mr Reddy said it was a bold and out-of-the-box initiative and such polls will reduce public expenditure.

“I support the proposal  in the interest of free and fair election process and enhanced participatory democracy. But considering that different state legislatures have different tenures, I am confident that the Prime Minister will evolve a mechanism for operatio-nalising this,” he said.
