Telangana BJP chief K Laxman says Hyderabad isn’t safe place

He said that Mr Rao has become intolerant after the defeat of his daughter K. Kavitha and relative B. Vinod Kumar in the Lok Sabha elections.

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president K Laxman on Wednesday defended the statement of Union minister of state for home G. Kishan Reddy that Hyderabad has become a “den of terrorists” and said that Hyderabad is not a safe place.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, he said that several foreigners are staying on in Hyderabad after the expiry of their visa term. He said that it is not correct to link terrorism with a religion.

Mr Laxman also condemned the remarks of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that the BJP is working for the people of state and not working for a family like the TRS.

He said that Mr Rao has become intolerant after the defeat of his daughter K. Kavitha and relative B. Vinod Kumar in the Lok Sabha elections. He alleged that the Chief Minister is not respecting opposition parties.

“It is not correct to say, as the CM has claimed, that the central government did not give a single rupee for the Kaleshwaram project,” he said.
