MALAPPURAM: UDF candidate P.K. Kunhalikutty is going all-out to woo the young voters in the Malappuram Lok Sabha constituency. He will launch his electioneering with ‘teens talk,’ an event to interact directly with the youth and first-time voters. This will be held on the sidelines of the UDF election convention to be held at Kizhakkethala on Monday. Mr Kunhalikutty will file his nomination before the meeting. Teenagers and first-time voters can directly interact with him on various issues. The programme being organised by the Malappuram constituency committee of the Muslim Youth League is meant to counter his younger opponents.
Top leaders of the Congress, Muslim League and other UDF constituents will participate in the convention. The UDF district committee will launch the booth-level campaign before Saturday. The Assembly constituency-level conventions will be held on Wednesday and Thursday. The All-India Forward Bloc has declared support to Mr Kunhalikutty and its national leader will campaign for him, said its state secretariat member T. Manoj Kumar.
