TD resorting to bogus voters’ enrolment: YV

Vishakapatnam: YSRC regional coordinator and TTD chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy alleged on Thursday that the TD is resorting to enrolment of bogus voters as the party was sure of losing the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing the general body meeting of the Visakhapatnam South constituency at the party office here, Subba Reddy urged his party workers to be alert and prevent such bogus enrolments.

Party members must visit door-to-door and continue to explain the social welfare schemes launched by the TSRC government during the last three and half years. “Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan have launched a misinformation campaign against the Jagan-led government to mislead the public on the welfare schemes,” he said.

Appealing to the party members to work hard to ensure the victory of Vasupalli Ganesh in the Visakhapatnam South constituency, Subba Reddy said the internal differences should not be aired in public.

He had been told that a section of the party activists were not happy with the candidature of Ganesh. “I am within the reach of every party worker to discuss the differences or resentment,’’ Subba Reddy said.

He later introduced MLC candidate Seethamraju Sudhakar and called for his victory. Visakhapatnam district president of YSRC Panchakarla Ramesh and other leaders were present.

Subba Reddy later visited Kailasagiri and some parts of the beach road along with Mayor Harikumari, collector Mallikarjuna and the GVMC commissioner and advised them to spruce up important tourists spots like Kaliasagiri, Thotlakonda and Beach Road from Coastal Battery to Bheemili.

This, also as delegates from over 100 countries are expected to participate at the G-20 summit here on March 28 and 29.
