Delay in release of DA due to Sankranti holidays: CM Jagan

VIJAYAWADA: Bandi Srinivasa Rao, who was elected as President of the APNGO Association, along with its general secretary KV Siva Reddy and panel members called on Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at his camp office here on Thursday.

The Chief Minister congratulated Srinivasa Rao and his panel members for their victory in the association elections held on Wednesday.

APNGO association’s new executive committee members P. Purushottam Naidu, D.V. Ramana, P. Krishna, Srinivasa Rao and government adviser (employees' welfare) Chandrasekhar Reddy were present.

Srinivasa Rao told the media that the CM has made it clear that the DA dues for the government employees would be cleared soon. CMO officials said there was a delay in issuing the circular due to the Sankranthi holidays.

Srinivasa Rao said it was unfortunate that some government employees unions had complained to the governor about various employee issues. “Trade unions have to comply with the rules. If they do not, the government has the power to cancel the recognition.”

“The CM has promised to solve all our problems. If the government does not take action, we are ready to hold protests,” he said.
