Bengaluru: Is former minister and BJP MLC V. Somanna on his way to the Congress? While Mr Somanna himself did not deny reports, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ruled out any such move.
Talking to reporters in Mangaluru, the CM questioned the credibility of such news and said, “I am not aware of it.”
There were reports in a section of the media regarding Mr Somanna planning to join the Congress since his equations with state BJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa were not good.
When confronted by reporters at Bengaluru Airport on Thursday, Mr Somanna said he would not deny reports of him joining the Congress. He also refused to clarify whether he had been sidelined in BJP.
It is learnt that Mr Somanna held discussions with the Congress high command.during his visit to Delhi.
