TRS to look into voters' grievances

K.T. Tama Rao felt that as many party sympathisers and fans failed to vote in many of the constituencies, they could not get the expected majorities.

Hyderabad: The TRS party on Tuesday decided to represent the grievances of people who were not able to vote despite having voter identity cards.

While holding the meeting with the general secretaries of the party, TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao told them that he had received complaints from the party workers and the people about their difficulties in casting their votes despite having voter IDs, but their names were not on the list. He felt that as many party sympathisers and fans failed to vote in many of the constituencies, they could not get the expected majorities.

He said that a committee with three general secretaries of the party would meet the EC to discuss steps being taken to resolve the issue. It was decided to hold a meeting of the party workers constituency-wise from December 22 to 24 and party general secretaries and the secretaries have to hold a meeting in each of the constituencies to discuss steps taken for the active participation of party workers in the revision of voters lists and also in the enrolment of voters from December 26 to January 6, 2019 across the state.

He informed the general secretaries that the designs for the party offices in the districts would be finalised with the approval of Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao. He said that as the lands were already identified for the TRS offices, the party will commence the work from January.
