Hanumantha seeks reservation for BC according to population
He alleged that the TRS government was purposely reducing the reservations for BCs in view of the upcoming panchayat elections.
Hyderabad: AICC secretary V. Hanumantha Rao on Tuesday demanded the TRS government that the Panchayat Raj elections should not hold till BCs census is completed. He said that the BCs reservations should be implemented on the basis of Samagra Kutumba Survey conducted by state government.
He alleged that the TRS government was purposely reducing the reservations for BCs in view of the upcoming panchayat elections. He questioned when the UPA government had provided 34 per cent reservation to BCs in panchayat elections, how the TS government could reduce it to 23 per cent.
Mr Hanumantha Rao said that after Samagra Kutumba Survey, Chief Minister K. Chandrase-khar Rao had admitted that the BCs constitute more than 50 per cent of TS population.
