Victory to Narendra Modi's welfare measures: Tamil Nadu BJP

Expressing great joy, party president said the BJP's victory in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls would continue in TN too.

CHENNAI: The BJP's resounding win in the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections is a victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pro-people initiatives and his good administration. The massive mandate only go to show people's faith on Modi, the Tamil Nadu BJP has said on Monday.

“People have understood that we are working for their welfare and growth of the country. people are happy with the performance of the BJP and they have showed this in their verdict in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. This winning spree will continue in Tamil Nadu too,” Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan has said.

With the BJP winning the Gujarat Assembly polls for a record sixth straight victory on Monday, and set to storm to power in Himachal Pradesh, the saffron party here went into a celebratory mood distributing sweets and bursting crackers. As news of the BJP's victory trends reached Chennai's R. K. Nagar Assembly constituency where the party is contesting in the by-poll, the BJP members went ecstatic and distributed sweets to the people amidst their campaign.

“#GujaratVerdict and #HimachalPradesh victory, result of PM @narendramodi ji's pro-poor schemes and our beloved @BJP4India National President Shri @AmitShah ji's poll strategy. Its clear now 130 cr people ready to march with our PM to make Bharat as #VishwaGuru,” Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan tweeted.

Expressing great joy, party president said the BJP's victory in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls would continue in Tamil Nadu too. Dr. Tamilisai who led the celebrations at the party state headquarters - Kamalalayam at T Nagar, she said, “the BJP has once again proved the confidence people have on us.” The opposition's allegation that demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax would be a setback has been proved wrong, she said and added “its a victory for development over dynasty politics.”
