New Delhi: The increase in the seats and vote share in the Gujarat assembly has bolstered the Congress’ hope for the Karnataka assembly elections middle of next year.
The Congress has already put in place a new team this year to manage the affairs of the state. Insiders claim that the Congress is mulling strengthening the team further.
Unlike Gujarat the Congress is presently in power in Karnataka. The party machinery up to the booth levels is active, something that was amiss in Gujarat.
The present Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s call for signage in local language, separate flag for the state and the demand for Lingayat have thrown the saffronites off guard to build a counter narrative.
