Mayawati to hold BSP meet in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: BSP chief Mayawati will be holding a party convention at Bengaluru Central College on November 26 as part of the BSP's campaign in South India.
Around 25 thousand office-bearers of the South Indian contingent of the party are expected to be present. Five thousand volunteers are also expected to take part. The party claims that the convention will highlight the atrocities committed on minorities by the BJP, RSS and associated outfits in the name of 'Gauraksha' and the difficulties they face as a result.
Another issue to be highlighted is the BJP's alleged efforts to remove the reservations issued to Dalits and members of the lower castes. The party alleges that the BJP is instigating inter-religious conflict and using it as a ploy to gain votes.
