Andhra Pradesh, Telangana meet on assets split postponed

While the Andhra Pradesh officials wanted to discuss sharing of assets of all institutions listed in the 10th Schedule.

Hyderabad: A meeting between the representatives of the AP and TS governments to discuss sharing of assets of all institutions listed in the 10th schedule ended without any agreement.

While the AP officials wanted to discuss sharing of assets of all institutions listed in the 10th Schedule, the Telangana officials proposed to discuss institution wise — begining with the Council of Higher Education (CHE).

When the AP officials said that they have already sent the proposal to the Telangana government, the Telangana officials said that they will give their reply within four days.

AP officials, however, believe the Centre will have to step in as the TS government is not ready to share the assets of the institutions and is trying to delay the process.
