CM Pinarayi Vijayan promises to free Kerala of corruption
Kottayam: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has promised the voters of Pala that the LDF government will check corruption in the state and punish the guilty. “The current Kerala is not the same as that of three years back when unprecedented corruption prevailed (during the UDF rule),” he said. Addressing a campaign meeting for LDFcandidate Mani C. Kappen at Mattam, Melukavu, on Wednesday, he said the state government had not shown any discrimination towards Pala though the voters had rejected the LDF last time. “However, if an LDF candidate is elected, it will push up the development activities in the area,” he said.
“There is very less corruption now in the state which was reeking of corruption three years ago. The state should be made corruption-free. Anyone found guilty of corruption will be punished,” he said.
The investment climate in the state had changed which has been acknowledged by entrepreneurs, he added. “International firms like Nissan are coming to the state.
The procedures to set up an airport near Sabarimala are progressing,” he said.
Mani C. Kappen, who had given a close fight to UDF’s K.M. Mani last time, should be elected this time, he added.
