Opposition practising dynasty politics, says Tamilisai Soundararajan
Chennai: BJP tore into all political parties, except AIADMK, for harping on social justice and working contrary to it.
“Social justice for parties like the DMK, DK and the PMK is nothing but practising dynasty politics. Their concept of social justice is successor and family rule,” said BJP state president Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan.
Her anger against Opposition parties was due to adverse criticism of Neet and Navodaya Vidhyalayas. She said DMK and VCK were opposing the Navodaya schools with an “ulterior motive.” “Stalin (DMK working president) and Thirumavalavan (VCK chief) are putting forth views that are contrary to the wellbeing of the state with regard to Navodaya schools. We are firm on bringing the Navodaya schools to TN and if need arises we will not hesitate to agitate,” the BJP leader said on Monday.
Contending that TN needs Navodaya schools, advantageous to students, she urged Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami to accord sanction to set up schools within eight weeks or else the schools meant for Tamil Nadu will go out of the state.
The Navodaya schools ensure affordable education without compromising on quality besides free education to rural students, differently abled and girls.
Youth wing protest: BJP Yuva Morcha plans to stage a protest agitation in front of the DMK-run schools on Thursday condemning them for opposing the opening of Navodaya Vidhayalayas in Tamil Nadu. According to Vinoj P. Selvam, youth wing president, the peaceful agitation would be held throughout the state.
