YS Jaganmohan Reddy continues verbal attack against Chandrababu Naidu

The TD government had promised the DWCRA of Rs 14,000 crore loan waiver, but did nothing after coming to power, Mr Reddy observed.

Vijayawada: YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is struggling to bring in balance among local YSRC leaders to coordinate poll management.

Following the fear that police cases would be filed against YSRC sympathisers and activists, the YSRC chief has constituted a three-member committee to address these issues in order to allow free voting in the constituency.

Mr Reddy intensified the verbal attack on the TD chief on Friday by alleging that Mr Chandrababu Naidu has duped farmers in the name of loan waiver.

The TD government had promised the DWCRA of Rs 14,000 crore loan waiver, but did nothing after coming to power, Mr Reddy observed.

“The state government has assured the people that it would close belt shops. But on the other hand, it is planning to provide home delivery of liquor. This seems to be the only achievement that Mr Chandrababu has made during the past three years,” the YSRC chief said.

“The TD has amassed wealth and managed to buy off 21 YSRC MLAs. Now, they are using the same money power to purchase votes in Nandyal,” he alleged.

“Before the TD government came, we used to get palm oil, kerosene, wheat powder and sugar from ration shops, apart from rice. But now, we are not getting any of these items,” he observed and urged the leaders and cadres of YSRC to bring these issues to the notice of the masses.

“Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to be very strategic, as he is touching new points every day in order to bring confidence among the leaders and cadres, as the TD has dumped more than 30 MLAs and 12 ministers and Mr Chandrababu Naidu will be touring Nandyal again,” a YSR Congress senior leader said.

He pointed out how 21,800 old aged people used to get pension in YSR rule, but now, the Telugu Desam government has reduced it to 15,000.

“A house costing Rs 3 lakh is being built at twice that rate and the poor beneficiary is being asked to bear half of its cost by taking high interest loans from the bank,” Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy stated.
