Raj Bhavan to be ready by July 21

The Secretary said that after the Governor is sworn-in, a group photo opportunity with Cabinet Ministers and legislators would be given.

VIJAYAWADA: Governor’s Secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena, along with General Administration Department Principal Secretary R.P. Sisodia, inspected the Irrigation office which is to be renovated at Raj Bhavan in the city on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor’s Secretary, based on the directions from Chief Minister, said that all necessary arrangements will be made to suit the first citizen of the state.

He said that the first floor will be used for residence while the ground floor will be used for official purpose and added that a Durban Hall, a meeting hall and seven office rooms will be provided while the police will take up all security arrangements at the building.

The Secretary said that after the Governor is sworn-in, a group photo opportunity with Cabinet Ministers and legislators would be given.

Mr Meena stated that by July 21, all arrangements at Raj Bhavan will be over and added that APCRDA additional commissioner Vijay Krishnan has been supervising the ongoing works at the Raj Bhavan while officials from the GAD are also looking after other arrangements.

He said that invites to attend the Governor’s swearing-in ceremony would be extended to Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, MLAs, MLCs and other dignitaries as per the norms.

He further said that officials from Telangana and AP would to be posted at the Governor’s Secretariat to help run the office.
