HYDERABAD: TRS Khairatabad municipal corporator P. Vijaya Reddy, daughter of former minister, the late P. Janardhan Reddy, said that she was set to join the Congress on June 23.
Vijaya Reddy met TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy here on Saturday and expressed her willingness to work in the party. "My father PJR worked in the Congress till his death, we will take forward his ideals in the Congress", she said.
Speaking to reporters, Vijaya Reddy said that the TRS would be upgraded as a national party. “Despite this, I have decided to join the grand old party to serve the people,” she said.
"I always work as per the directives of high command and will continue the practice in the Congress", Vijaya Reddy said.
"I discussed the issue with my well-wishers and followers and decided to join the Congress on June 23", she said.
