Basavaraj Horatti, HD Kumaraswamy: Playing both sides?

Interestingly, Mr Horatti attended the hush-hush meeting as well!

BENGALURU/HUBBALLI: State JD(S) president A.H. Vishwanath and his senior colleague Basavaraj Horatti lambasted former chief minister Siddaramaiah on a day when Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy called for truce between his party and the Congress on grounds that such acrimony would hinder efforts at forming a new government in New Delhi.

While Mr Vishwanath raised questions about Mr Siddaramaiah's performance as head of the coordination committee and wondered why the Common Minimum Programme was not ready despite approaching one year in office, Mr Horatti demanded fresh Assembly polls.

But in a message tweeted on Saturday, Mr Kumaraswamy said: “At a time when we are on the verge of forming a non-BJP government in New Delhi, leaders belonging to both parties should not create confusion by issuing conflicting statements." Mr Kumaraswamy, who arrived in Mysuru, chaired a closed-door meeting with confidants like Sa Ra Mahesh. Interestingly, Mr Horatti attended the hush-hush meeting as well!
