N Uttam Kumar Reddy says Rythu Bandhu for votes
Warangal: TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday said the TRS government had implemented the Rythu Bandhu Scheme with an eye on the elections. He said the Congress was exposing the false promises made to the people by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Mr Reddy was addressing the gathering in Warangal as part of Congress’ bus yatra. He said teh people were witnessing “anarchy government” under Mr Rao which had destroyed the democratic system.
Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Congress if voted to power would give priority to Muslims and implement schemes for their welfare. He said the Congress would implement the '2 lakh crop loan waiver to farmers and will give good MSP for all agricultural produce along with the special bonus by allocating funds in the Budget.
The TPCC chief said Mr Rao had failed to develop Warangal despite making many promises on various counts to the people of the district in the last four years.
He alleged that Mr Rao had neglected SHGs and promised that the Congress on coming to power would give Rs 1 lakh loan to each SHG and Rs 10 lakh loan to a group. The government would bear the interest.
He said the TRS government had failed in purchasing crops at market yards from the farmers and providing the good MSP.
