Congress party in Karnataka is a sinking ship: Basavaraj Bommai

Mudhol: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has termed the Congress party in Karnataka as a sinking ship.

“Congress Party in Karnataka is a sinking ship. Some people have boarded it. Had they stayed here (in BJP) they would have reached the shore,” he said while addressing a public meeting after holding a roadshow in support of the BJP candidate Govind Karjol on Tuesday.

Bommai, expressing confidence over the BJP returning to power, said the people's response to the BJP has been tremendous in the State.

“The BJP Tsunami has started and the party will surely return to power. The guarantee card given by the Congress party is not giving any guarantee and it is a visiting card without any value. The BJP government has hiked the quota for the SC/ST communities and has also given internal reservations. The percentage of reservations has been hiked for Lingayats and Vokkaligas,” he said.

He urged the voters of Mudhol to ensure the victory of Karjol by a big margin.
