KCR, Naidu conspiring to dethrone Modi: BJP

Scores of leaders and activists from other parties from Nizamabad district joined the BJP on Wednesday.

Hyderabad: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday accused the Chief Ministers of the Telugu states of ‘conspiring’ to dethrone Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

BJP Telangana state president Dr K. Laxman alleged that Telangana CM Chandrasekhar Rao and his AP counterpart Chandrababu Naidu are talking about forging an alternative front at the national level, only to co-ver up their failures during the past four years and to divert people’s att-ention in respective states. He said both the CMs came to power on false promises and are worried that people in Telugu states would teach them a fitting lesson in the 2019 elections.

“Let them come up with any front. People across the country irrespective of caste, creed, and religion are with Modi, who offered transparent and clean administration and put India on the growth trajectory. People will not believe any front,” Dr Laxman said.

Scores of leaders and activists from other parties from Nizamabad district joined the BJP on Wednesday.

While welcoming them into the party fold, Dr Laxman said, “We are not in power in Telangana. Despite this, leaders and activists from other parties are joining the BJP, who are attracted by the welfare schemes and dev-elopment programmes initiated by PM Modi.”

He said with people’s support the BJP had alre-ady captured power in 21 states and the day is not far when it will gain po-wer in Telugu states too.

“BJP will win Karnata-ka elections with a thum-ping majority next mon-th. This will be a gateway for BJP to emerge strong-er in the South and gain power in the Telugu sta-tes in 2019,” Dr Laxman said.

Terming the Congress an ‘anti-Dalit’, he said, “The Congress had not allowed Dalit leaders to grow in this country. It de-feated Dr BR Ambedkar twice in Parliament elections. Today they are making tall claims on dalits but people are not innocent to believe their false propaganda on BJP.”
