Lucknow: Two days after BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj said that ‘women in Islam are no better than footwear’, another BJP MP Yogi Adityanath has asked Muslims in India to relocate to countries where the Shariat law is in force.

The Yogi, while talking to reporters in Ballia district on Sunday night, said that India will be run according to its constitution and the legal system and not by Shariat laws. "Muslims who feel that Shariat is supreme can relocate to countries where the Shariat laws are supreme," he said.

He was reacting to the All India Muslim Personal Law Board statement that said that attempts were being made to interfere with Shariat law through courts. He said that India would function on the concept of one law.
