MLC results indicate people against YSRC: TD MP

VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam MP Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu claimed that defeat of YSR Congress in graduate MLC elections from north Andhra and Rayalaseema indicates that people have rejected the divisive and violent rule of Jagan Mohan Reddy government.

The TD MP said the results should be taken as referendum on the four-year-rule of YSRC, as these graduate MLC constituencies together represent 108 Assembly constituencies.

Ram Mohan Naidu maintained that despite YSRC's attempts to manipulate the voter list, create fake voters, and use violence, Telugu Desam has emerged victorious in Uttarandhra and Rayalaseema, which is considered the bastion of the Chief Minister.

The TD MP went on to declare that people have got fed up with Jagan’s rule and want TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu back as CM of Andhra Pradesh.

He maintained that the victory will energise TD cadres to work with an even stronger resolve and sweep all 175 assembly seats in the 2024 elections, so that AP could be rebuilt and have a better future.
