Opposition underestimating KCR\'s political wisdom, says KT Rama Rao
Hyderabad: Making it clear that the TRS would not interfere in AP politics, TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Monday said the people of AP would defeat Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking with mediapersons, Mr Rama Rao said that Mr Naidu was unnecessarily attacking Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the TRS. He said Mr Naidu was frustrated and making baseless allegations and indulging in frivolous criticism of Mr Chandrasekhar Rao.
Mr Rama Rao said the TRS had no objection to Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan carrying on his election campaign in Telangana state. Mr Kalyan had recently criticised Mr Chandrasekhar Rao for “interfering” with AP politics.
Referring to the delay in declaring the TRS candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, he said Mr Chandrasekhar Rao was the key person in the party victory. “The people of Telangana have immense faith and confidence in KCR and they will vote for him and they will ensure victory of the party in 16 Lok Sabha seats of the state,” Mr Rama Rao said.
He called Mr Chandrasekhar Rao a true politician and would take decisions according to the political situation after the Lok Sabha results on May 23. Refuting the allegations of the Congress and other Opposition parties that Mr Chandrasekhar Rao would not do anything for the state even if the people gave the party 16 Lok Sabha seats, Mr Rama Rao said the Opposition was underestimating the Chief Minister’s political wisdom and hurling mindless allegations against him.
Mr Rama Rao said that Mr Chandrasekhar Rao would certainly play a crucial role after the Lok Sabha results in the formation of government at the Centre. Apart from that, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao was well aware of the tempo at the Centre after the elections were announced. If necessary, he would launch a national party according to the political situation. Mr Rama Rao termed Congress leader A. Revanth Reddy as a ‘paper and flexi tiger’. “With his big mouth he cannot achieve anything in politics. Revanth must understand the reality that the people of the state have rejected and dejected the Congress,” Mr Rama Rao said.
