K Chandrasekhar Rao may change direction of nation

Mr Rama Rao said some national parties were confined to some states.

Hyderabad: TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao defended the defection of Congress MLAs into the ruling party, and said legislators changing their party was not a new thing.

He was addressing several leaders from Vikarabad, Bhupalpally and Secunderabad Cantonment areas who joined the TRS on Monday. Mr Rao said legislators of all parties were attracted towards the TRS.

“Changing of parties is nothing new,” he said. He said if the TRS won 16 Lok Sabha seats, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao would change the direction of the nation.

In reply to the criticism of some parties regarding what the TRS, a regional party, could do on the national stage, Mr Rama Rao said some national parties were confined to some states.
