Hyderabad: AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao announced here that the Assembly will take a final decision on Monday on Thursday’s High Court orders in YSR Congress MLA R.K. Roja’s suspension case.
Mr Sivaprasada Rao told the Assembly that the decision on Ms Roja’s suspension was taken by the House. So, now it was for the House to take a decision on the court order. He told the MLAs to study the court order and express their opinion in the House on Monday. Later, the House would take a decision. The MLAs were given copies of the High Court order.
Legislative affairs minister Yanamala Ramakr-ishnudu welcomed the Speaker’s decision and said the government would extend its full cooperation. “The decision on Roja’s suspension was taken by the House and not by any individual. The Speaker’s decision to leave it to the House to have a final word on High Court order is proper,” he said.
