Subramanian Swamy recalls his British' Rahul Gandhi charge
Chennai: The 'Rahul for Prime Minister' proposal from DMK chief MK Stalin has kicked up a storm all around, besides triggering a bombshell of a recall from the inimitable Dr Subramanian Swamy.
"I do not know why some parties want to declare Rahul Gandhi as next PM. As self confessed in writing that he is British citizen he can never be. My complaint Advani Chaired Ethics Committee has put in cold storage. But Home Ministry is investigating now", the former Law Minister tweeted on Monday.
The tweet quickly led to a long chain of reactions from the netizens, one of them even insisting that Dr Swamy would have got a bundle of documents to support his charge on Rahul's nationality — Dr Swamy had based his charge on papers obtained from the British Registrar of Companies where Rahul had allegedly claimed he was a British citizen — just as he had done in the case of his mother Sonia Gandhi.
"It's something serious. It's none other than @Swamy39's letter that forced Dr APJ Kalam to tell @SoniaGandhi_FC that she shouldn't be India's PM.
Now from this tweet i think Swamy must have gathered all necessary papers. What does it mean, @RahulGandhi cannot become our PM", said the tweet by Visakh Vimala Kanolathil.
