What BJP Manifesto Promises?
Hyderabad: Dasha-Disha, the BJP manifesto for the Telangana Assembly polls expresses its commitment to build a glorious Telangana. "This is Modi's guarantee. This is BJP's promise," the manifesto says.
The party unveiled a 10-point (dasha) action plan to transform Telangana in the direction (disha) towards progress.
The main promises in the 48-page document include:
GOOD GOVERNANCE:
Zero tolerance, Modi Mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’.
Inquiry by retired Supreme Court judge into corruption allegations including Kaleshwaram and Dharani.
Reduce inflation, cut VAT on petrol and diesel.
Mee Bhoomi in place of Dharani.
Ministry for implementation and saturation of Central schemes.
Ministry for overseas residents, especially in the Gulf.
Payment of salaries and pensions to state employees on the first day of the month.
Income-tTax reimbursement for Singareni employees.
EMPOWERING MARGINALISED:
Telangana’s first BC Chief Minister.
Abolish unconstitutional religion-based reservations.
Increase quota for OBC, SC and ST communities.
Form committee to draft a Uniform Civil Code.
Fast-track SC quota sub-categorisation
KOODU-GOODU:
Construct houses based on requirement.
House site pattas for the eligible poor in villages.
New ration cards to all eligible families, periodically issue cards.
Ensure quality of rations is provided through PDS.
RYTHE RAJU:
Rs.2,500 input assistance to small and marginal farmers, over Modi government's fertiliser subsidy of over
Rs.18,000 per acre.
Free crop insurance to farmers through PM Fasal Bima Yojana.
Provide '3,100 on paddy, market intervention fund for turmeric.
Free Desi milk-yielding cow to willing small and marginal farmers.

Free Laptops for college girl students.
Aada-Bidda Bharosa: FD at time of birth newborn girl so that '2 lakh can be redeemed at the age of 21
Gas cylinders free annually to Ujjwala beneficiaries.
1% interest rate for women self help groups
Mahila Rythu Corporation to aid women farmers.
Domestic workers corporation to provide support, upskill and provide social security to household helps.
Ten lakh new jobs for women.
YUVA SHAKTI:
Complete TSPSC recruitment on UPSC lines.
Government jobs including EWS quota will be filled within 6 months.
VIDYA SHRI:
Nodal schools in every mandal.
Improve facilities in social welfare residential schools.
Monitor fee structure in private schools.
Exemption for budget private schools from commercial rates of property tax, electricity and water bills.
VAIDYA SHREE:
Rs.10 lakh coverage per eligible family per annum for secondary and tertiary care across public and private hospitals.
District level multi-specialty hospitals.
Free annual health check-up for economically backward residents.
Transparency in corporate hospitals to avoid overcharging
Widespread training on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT:
HIRA Model to focus on highways, infoways, railways and airways.

Complete pending projects on River Krishna.
