Minister Satyavathi Rathod booked for bribing voters
Political parties shower freebies including several schemes and hard cash to voters, in a bid to woo them. Despite strict police vigil and rules laid down by the Election Commission of India, distribution of cash and liquor continues unabated in all the constituencies going for polls.
Assembly elections are scheduled on November 30 in Telangana and politicians are busy campaigning in all the constituencies.

Minister Satyavathi Rathod of the ruling BRS, while campaigning for Mahabubabad Assembly constituency candidate B. Shankar Naik, was caught on camera distributing money to the voters when they gathered near her convoy.
She was booked for violation of the model code of conduct and distributing money to the voters. She allegedly distributed Rs 4,000 to the voters. Rathod was booked under Section 171E and other relevant sections of the IPC.
The video of the minister giving away money to the voters has gone viral within minutes of being uploaded on the internet.
