Congress sets up committees for Bharat Jodo Yatra in Telangana

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee on Tuesday appointed a slew of committees, ranging from reception to food and administration, for the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra that will enter the state on October 23.

B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, PCC working president, said that these committees will ensure the smooth running of the yatra. As per the details shared, the reception committee alone comprises 41 senior leaders, while there is a cultural committee and interaction committee to handle social eminent persons, NGOs and professionals.

Other committees constituted were the administration committee, publicity committee, corner meetings committee, food committee, mobilisation committee, protocol committee and media committee.

The reception committee will comprise PCC chief A. Revanth Reddy, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, MLC T. Jeevan Reddy, MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and working presidents Mohd. Azharuddin, J. Geetha Reddy, M. Anjan Kumar Yadav, T. Jagga Reddy and B. Mahesh Kumar Goud.

The publicity committee will be led by former deputy chief minister C. Damodar Rajanarsimha, the cultural committee by Bhatti and interaction with social eminent persons, NGOs and professionals by Uttam.

The food committee will be led by Mohammed Ali Shabbir, the mobilisation committee by Maheshwar Reddy, and the protocol, media and women mobilisation committees by former minister G. Vinod, former PCC working president Jetti Kusum Kumar and MLA Seethakka, respectively.
