Hyderabad: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot dismissed the notion of anti-incumbency in his government and expressed his confidence in the Congress’ ability to retain power in the upcoming term.
Gehlot made these remarks during an event organised by the Rajasthan Foundation, a government initiative, for non-resident Rajasthanis in the city on Sunday. During the event, he also outlined the objectives of Mission 2030 for the state.
The Chief Minister highlighted his government's accomplishments in education, healthcare, tourism, and industrial expansion. He stated, "As of today, we have established 130 colleges exclusively for girls, and we provide scholarships to 500 students for pursuing higher education abroad. In the realm of healthcare, every district in the state is equipped with Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs), and we are committed to establishing a medical college in each district. Additionally, we have introduced health insurance coverage of Rs 25 lakh with a per-person cover of Rs 5 lakh for every citizen in Rajasthan. Our government has also facilitated employment for three lakh individuals."
Further, Gehlot announced plans to create new districts in the state, increasing the current count from 33 to 50. This move aims to streamline administrative operations and enhance convenience for the state's residents.
Gehlot welcomed input and suggestions from non-resident Rajasthanis for Mission 2023, aiming to further the state's development and growth.
