Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, Talasani Srinivas in house clash

Reddy referred Mr Yadav\'s defection from the TD to the TRS.

Hyderabad: Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy raised the issue of pending bills of contractors and said that no contractor was happy with the TRS government and the state was reeling under a financial crunch.

During a debate in the Budget Session, he alleged that there was a lot of corruption in awarding the contracts of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project. He said the government was neglecting other projects such as Dindi, Shivannagudem and Pranahita.

Animal husbandry minister T. Srinivas Yadav intervened to say that Mr Rajagopal Reddy and his brother, Congress MP Venkat Reddy, were always trying to get publicity out of every issue and called his allegations false.

Mr Reddy referred Mr Yadav's defection from the TD to the TRS. The minister said he had contested an election and won.

He then referred to Mr Reddy's own attempt to defect. When CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka tried to respond, legislative affairs minister V. Prashanth Reddy said, "You (Mr Bhatti) are not Leader of the Opposition in the House. You are just an MLA. So we cannot give you the mike whenever you ask for it." Mr Bhatti wanted Mr Yadav's remarks withdrawn.
