He also filed a private petition in a Warangal court over the issue.

Hyderabad: The TS government has instructed DGP Anurag Sharma and Hyderabad collector Rahul Bojja to submit a report on alleged disrespect for the National Flag following a letter from Ministry of Home Affairs.

Earlier, the Telangana Congress had sought action against Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali and TS home minister Naini Narasimha Reddy, accusing them of violating the rules while hoisting Tricolour on Republic Day.

TPCC general-secretary Bakka Judson had written to the President, Prime Minister and Chief Justice of India, accusing the two ministers of violating the rules under Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. He alleged that the ministers had turned their backs to the Tricolour and sang the National Anthem facing the media cameras. He also filed a private petition in a Warangal court over the issue.
