Won't seek MLC ticket for wife: MH Ambareesh
Bengaluru: Denying reports that he had been lobbying for an MLC seat for his wife, actress Sumalatha and had made it a condition for his exit from the ministry, Housing Minister M.H. Ambareesh said he will fight for getting the MLC seat for others but not for his family members.
Reacting to a news report in this regard in Mandya, the actor-turned politician said: "I never knocked anyone's doors seeking a ministerial berth and I will not request anyone to retain me. I am not bothered even if they drop me during the reshuffle".
Meanwhile, Health and Family Welfare Minister U.T. Khader exuded confidence that Mr Ambareesh would continue to be in the Council of Ministers. “I am not supposed to discuss the issue of who will be inducted and dropped as this will be decided by the Congress high command,” he said.
