Bengaluru: With power shift, BSY brings back his Addl. CS & new AG
Bengaluru: Governor Vajubhai Vala has appointed senior advocate, Prabhuling Navadgi as the new advocate general of the state following the change of government.
Mr Navadgi succeeds Madhusudan Naik who resigned after the Congress government lost the Assembly elections. On assuming office, CM, B.S. Yeddyurappa also changed the principal secretary to the CM besides making some changes in the police department.
Mr Navadgi has been worked as additional solicitor general and represented the Union government in the Karnataka HC in 2015. He was designated as senior advocate in 2014 and was additional advocate general in 2011.
Additional chief secretary (ACS), M. Lakshminarayana, has been appointed ACS to the CM. Mr Lakshminarayana replaces L.K. Atheeq who was shunted out with no fresh posting. Mr Lakshminarayana had served as secretary to the CM when Mr Yeddyurappa served as CM between 2008 and 2010.
