Amit Shah sets up war room in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: With less than a month to go for Assembly elections, BJP president Amit Shah will open his own war room in a posh four bedroom house in the heart of the city from where he will monitor and micro-manage all political developments in the run up to the state Assembly polls on May 12.
Mr Shah moved into the house on Tuesday, but city unit president, Subbanna, sought to play down the significance of this new residence. "There is nothing special about it. He will stay here, and for official engagements, he will visit the party office,” Mr Subbanna added.
Sources in the party said the BJP would make acquittal of Swami Aseemanand and four others accused in the Mecca Masjid blast case a key plank during the campaign and target the Congress over the party's attempts to "defame" Hindus in terror cases.
