Poll panel cracks whip on TRS men in Karimnagar
Karimnagar: In view of the implementation of code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections, officials of the Karimagar Municipal Corporation and town planning wing cracked the whip on TRS leaders for installing flexies and banners that created traffic hurdles here on Sunday.
Ahead of the TRS meeting to be addressed by party president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the entire city was decorated with pink flags, flexies, banners by the TRS leaders and activists.
Huge cutouts were installed at various places welcoming Mr Rao. With complaints received from Opposition parties, the officials removed the TRS publicity material. Local MLA Gangula Kamalakar along with party activists reached the spot and tried to stop the officials but in vain.
