Harish Rao's faux pas has House in splits

Mr Sudhakar Reddy too couldn't contain his laughter.

Hyderabad: Irrigation minister T. Harish Rao had the Legislative Council in splits when he addressed Congress MLC P. Sudhakar Reddy as ‘minister”.

He immediately covered the slip of tongue by saying that Mr Sudhakar could well become a minister if he crossed over to the ruling TRS, asserting that the party will continue to rule for another 20 years.

The comments came during a discussion on Mr Sudhakar Reddy’s demand for a CBI inquiry into the irregularities in the purchase of cotton and denial of remunerative price to cotton farmers.

“Adyaksha...Mantri Garu... sorry Sudhakar Reddy garu. Sir...Sudhakar Reddy might become minister one day.... much earlier if he joins the TRS,” Mr Harish Rao said. Mr Sudhakar Reddy too couldn’t contain his laughter.
