Vijayawada: Chief Minister Jagan would hand over the land records for 12,776 persons having 29,563 acres of land in 51 villages as part of the YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoo Hakku and Bhoo Raksha scheme, in its first phase, across the state on Tuesday.
As part of the scheme, a comprehensive land survey was done after a gap of 100 years in the state. Some 3,304 objections pertaining to 29,563 acres were resolved in the phase-I. Registration of properties will be taken up in village secretariats, initially at 37 villages on Tuesday. This will be replicated all over the state in a phased manner by June, 2023.
The land survey was taken up by using the state-of-the-art technology using 1,500 rovers and also by roping in 4,500 survey teams. This will help issue of a permanent land title to the owner under a single window scheme and help the owners carry out land transactions as also raise bank loans.
The comprehensive land survey and fixation of boundaries help check duplicate registration of lands and also role of middlemen to carry out transactions and it also helps rule out any change in land records without the knowledge of the land owner.
