Nalin Kumar Kateel warns CPM of Central action'

The BJP had emerged as a strong alternative to main coalitions in the state.

Kottayam: If the attack against BJP continues in the state, the Centre will be forced to intervene, says the party MP from Karnataka, Mr Nalin Kumar Kateel. He was inaugurating the party state committee meeting here on Tuesday. “If the CPM does not desist from its attacks on the BJP cadre in Kerala, they will realize the power of BJP in other States" , he said. He alleged that while a majority of the states in the country focused on economic and social growth, the state excelled in rising political murders, he alleged.

“In Kerala, it is the politics of goondaism. In seven months of CPM rule in the state, there were 10 hartals. This is jungle raj, just as it used to be in Bihar during the Lalu regime ”, Mr Kateel said. BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekaran, who presided over the function ,said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan tried to use the venue of state youth festival to level political charges against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Those who are not able to counter the prime Minister with ideas are using other tactics. The CM is throwing stones at the Prime Minister to deflect attention from issues concerning the people”, Mr Kummanam said. Those who thought BJP was irrelevant in the state were bewildered by its growth. The BJP had emerged as a strong alternative to main coalitions in the state. CPM is lording it over Kerala society a like feudal boss, he said. BJP leaders O Rajagopal, MLA, Mr PS Sreedaran Pillai and Mr CK Padmanabhan among also present.
