YSRC slams TS voter' Nagababu for enrolling in AP
Vijayawada: YSRC leaders are up in arms against Jana Sena leaders, especially its general secretary Konidela Nagendra Babu (Nagababu), the elder brother of party chief Pawan Kalyan, for allegedly seeking voting rights in Andhra Pradesh despite having it in Telangana State.
News of Nagababu submitting an application for enrollment as a voter in the state has sparked a debate among political analysts. He had recently exercised his franchise in Telangana Assembly elections, along with Konidela Padmaja and Sai Varun Tej.
YSRC leaders stated that Babu’s Vaddeswaram residential ‘address’ belongs to Dasari Kiran Kumar, the official spokesperson of Jana Sena. In fact, they said that Jana Sena has applied for 53 fake votes bearing the same door number. They stated that the Konidela family members had submitted their respective form-6 for new voter registration from Vaddeswaram in Mangalagiri assembly segment.
Meanwhile, YSRC mahila wing spokesperson Bandi Punyaseela said that the Nagababu episode shows that as all JS candidates had lost their deposits in Telangana, they were trying to salvage some prestige in Andhra Pradesh.
She said that YSRC will lodge complaints with the Election Commission against fake votes and demand action against such illegal methods.
