YSRC says Naidu turned Amaravati into real estate venture

Vijayawada: YSR Congress youth wing state vice president Konda Rajeev Gandhi emphasised that former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had chosen Amaravati as capital for turning it into a real estate venture and satisfying his thirst for money.

Addressing media here on Sunday, he said the four years of Amaravati movement is not by farmers but those whom Chandrababu has co-opted as his partners in the business of Amaravati as capital.

“Even if the movement continues for 40 years, Amaravati cannot be a public capital,” Rajeev Gandhi maintained.

He observed that faith, perseverance and facing difficulties are the mantras for success of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, while fraud, lies, conspiracy and backstabbing have marked Chandrababu Naidu's political career. He said there are no welfare schemes that Chandrababu can claim credit for during the 14 years of his government.

The YSRC youth wing leader said Jagan Mohana Reddy will always be remembered for developing schools and hospitals, providing free crop insurance, starting the secretariat and volunteer system and extending free electricity and fee reimbursement, apart from Arogyasri and other programmes. He claimed that 32 lakh house plots have been allotted and 22 lakh houses are being constructed for the poor.
