According to party sources, Marupilla Chitti Congress Party Office has around hundred years of history. It had been the main centre during the freedom struggle. Also, former MLA and freedom fighter Marupilla Chitti had donated the office to the party. Hence, the party has named the party office after Marupilla Chitti.
AICC member Sivaji said ruling YSRC is trying to take over the Chitti Congress Party office for its own use. He warned YSRC that if the government tries to possess the Congress party office, people will teach it a lesson in the 2024 elections.
