Telangana Jana Samiti expresses concern over mismatching of votes
Hyderabad: The Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) has expressed concern over mismatch between the number of votes polled and those counted.
At an executive committee to discuss the reasons for its defeat, members expressed doubt on the functioning of the Election Commission, said party sources.
“An officer like T.N. Seshan improved the reputation of the Election Commission. But some officials are damaging the system. This the first time in the Telugu states where people are having many doubts,” said a member. TJS president Prof. M. Kodandaram said, “The committee said there is a need to strengthen the party from the roots. We have noticed some issues in the Kutami and we will have a word with the leaders. We may or may not be in alliance, but we are sure that the Kutami will be united in fighting the government.”
